ALABAMA BANKRUPTCY
- Have unexpected circumstances such as sickness or job loss got you unable to pay your debts?
- Do you have high credit card balances and "robbing Peter to pay Paul"?
- Do you own an automobile?
- Do you own a house or other real property?
CHAPTER 7 BANKRUPTCY
If you do not own a home, or the equity you have in the home is less than $5,000 ($10,000 if married), then a complete bankruptcy may be the answer for you.
In most cases, my charges are $750.00 for filing a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in addition to the court filing fees.
CHAPTER 13 (DEBTOR'S COURT)
If you are behind on your car payment, house payment, or have a large amount of equity in real property, then a reorganization plan where your debts are paid out over a maximum of 60 months may be your answer. And, in cases of debts that are not secured by articles of property, those debts may be paid at less than 100% of the charges.
You must have a job or source of income for debtor's court relief.
Charges for filing a Chapter 13 depend on the types of debts you have plus the filing fees.
